HALLOWEEN: CSI Bloody Fingerprint Nail Art

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! CSI and Criminal Minds were always one of my favourite TV shows as a teenager (and still as an "addult"). So, there's a little nail art ode to the slightly graphic and gory shows.  It's another one inspired by my favourite Youtuber (cutepolish).

How to achieve this look: Think adult fingerpainting with nail polish. I painted my nails with white polish and let it dry completely. Then I poured a teensy bit of red polish, then dipped my pointer finger in it. I dabbed my finger onto a piece of paper to remove the access, then I pressed my fingertip onto the nail. Even a toddler could do it.

The trick here is to choose a red with a neutral or brown undertone, rather than a pink/orange undertone so that the fingerprints look more like blood and less like raspberry stains. The red that I used was slightly more orange because (shocker!) I couldn't find the perfect shade of red in my 1239182o31239123 bottles of polish.

Products Used: Ceramic Glaze Pure, OPI Big Apple Red
